Join the 27th District Virginia Senate Debate, hosted by UMW and co-sponsored by UMW SGA.
The debate is between Republican Tara Durant, Independent Monica Gary, and Democrat Joel Griffin. This debate will be an opportunity to learn more about the candidates and their priorities. The event will be moderated with an opportunity for audience questions.
Moderators will be: UMW Political Science Professor Stephen Farnsworth, UMW Political Science Professor and Department Chair Rosalyn Cooperman, WFVA Radio News Director Ted Schubel, and a representative from The Free-Lance Star.
Time: Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 7:00 PM in George Washington Hall’s Dodd Auditorium.
