Pi Sigma Alpha, the national honor society for political science students, holds an annual conference for students to showcase their research. This year it took place at George Washington University in Washington D.C. on Feb 16th-18th. IRO Sat Sim Feb 24

UMW's International Relations Organization (and Model UN) is hosting a Star Wars themed Saturday Simulation on February 24th in HCC 327 from 10 AM-4 PM. Join them for lots of fun! PSIA Student Nathan Francis: 2023-24 Newman Civic Fellow for UMW

SGA Visits Capitol Hill

SGA, UMW’s Student Government Association, visited the US Capitol in mid-March for a tour and to learn about congressional life. They met with Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA) as shown along with other senators (more info on their tour is provided on UMW article UMW Political Science Students Have Unique Access to Lawmakers). Joey Zeldin, the current SGA president, is also a Political Science major and a former intern in Senator Kaine’s office.
