Michaela De Asis

I graduated from Mary Washington in 2016 with my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. I then went on to attend George Mason University for my Master of Social Work with a Clinical Specialization Degree and will be graduating in May 2018.

I am passionate about working with children with anxiety and behavior issues and am expanding my knowledge and clinical skills in Play and Family Therapy under the supervision of Cathy Canfield, LCSW for my Clinical Placement. I also have experience providing in-home based case management services to the elderly on Medicaid in Washington, D.C. Additionally, I have worked as a Graduate Research Assistant for two faculty members at George Mason’s MSW program from 2016-2018.

I plan to continue providing therapy and case management services upon receiving my Master’s in May and ultimately work on my licensure to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
