I began the doctoral program in Psychology and Women’s Studies at the University of Michigan. (Thank you for preparing me for grad school! Coincidentally, there’s another UMW alum in my cohort but she got her BA in History – small world!)

After obtaining a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from American University in 1992, I have been working as a specialist in treating people who have anxiety disorders. Before entering the doctoral program, I worked for several years in substance abuse and community mental health programs.

After finishing her Master’s in Elementary Education at UMW, Kelsey decided to switch career paths and become a Child Life Specialist. She recently started working in this field at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU.
