Byrd, B., Kasper, A., Moore, C., & Kolar, D.W. (2013). Prompting Environmentalism: Prompts as a Method of Food Waste Reduction. Presented at the Spring meetings of the Virginia Psychological Association in Richmond, VA.

“We put small prompts (signs) around the cafeteria that said “Please help the environment. Take all you wish, but eat all you take. Thank you!” Compared to the baseline period, there was a 15% reduction in food waste while the prompts were up.”
