Protests in Iran: Context, Strategies and (Likely) Consequences

Join us for a panel on the ongoing protests in Iran triggered by the death of 22-year old Mahsa Amini in
police custody. For four weeks now, women have been protesting dress and behavior rules despite the
government locking down access to the internet and social media.

Ms. Asadi has 12 years of experience in teaching, activism,
and r esearch . Her research fo cuses o n women’s rights in
Iran and th e international regime on refugee protection. She
has been working with the National Democratic Institute to
