On November 7, 2025, PSCI/IA major women from UMW attended the AWIU Ninth Annual Symposium at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library Conference Center in Washington, D.C. They participated in discussions on women’s leadership, AI’s impact on women, social entrepreneurship, and career resilience, hearing from global leaders including Associate Vice President at Girls and Women Strategy at the United Nations Foundation, Sia Nowrojee and Former Ambassador to Austria, Swanee Hunt.
