Washington DC’s oldest city-wide non-profit historic preservation association, the DC Preservation League, is seeking to fill an archival internship position for the summer of 2009. The individual selected will have the opportunity to enchance the resources of the DCPL through research, identifying and archiving photos and documents of historic buildings and landmarks in Washington, DC. Interns are expected to work 20 hours per week for 8 weeks and may require some evenings when working with volunteer committees.
Ideal candidates are experienced in indexing and archiving photos and studying or are interested in Historic Preservation (graduate and undergraduate.)
A Metro rail pass is provided.
Summer internships run for 8 weeks and start in early June and end in late August. Dates are flexible.
