SGA Visits Capitol Hill

SGA, UMW’s Student Government Association, visited the US Capitol in mid-March for a tour and to learn about congressional life. They met with Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA) as shown along with other senators (more info on their tour is provided on UMW article UMW Political Science Students Have Unique Access to Lawmakers). Joey Zeldin, the current SGA president, is also a Political Science major and a former intern in Senator Kaine’s office. Envision Experience by WorldStrides Opportunities

Envision Experience by WorldStrides runs a wide range of educational summer programs and are beginning their hiring process for 2022. Their NYLF National Security program has paid positions at the University of Maryland, College Park, with offsite visits around the Washington, D.C. area. Lodging and meals are covered, and they are able to offer compensation for travel to/from the program site. The program runs five sessions in the months of June and July.
