As part of our GEOG 498 Senior Portfolio course, which has an After Mary Washington designation, we have four speakers lined up for the next few weeks. Each will give an overview of what their current position entails, how they got there (education, previous jobs), and what advice they would give to a graduating senior today. These talks are informal, and will be followed by questions from the audience.

March 22, 4:00 pm: Cassandra Ratti Pierandri graduated from UMW in 2010 with a BA in Geography. Cassandra worked as an Assistant Director in the UMW Office of Admissions immediately following graduation. In 2014, she relocated to Richmond and began working in the educational non-profit space. Since 2020, she has worked for TemperPack, a manufacturer of sustainable packaging products for cold-chain shipments, focusing on eCommerce and life science customers. Their products are cornstarch and paper-based and are a great replacement for styrofoam in direct-to-consumer shipments. As Customer Success Manager, Cassandra leads the account management team for TemperPack and works every day to improve customer outcomes and satisfaction.
March 29, 4:00 pm Scott Berry ’07 was a double major in Geography and Political Science. He is now Director of Policy and Government Affairs for the US Water Alliance, a national nonprofit advancing policies and programs in support of sustainable water future.
