Dr. Dawn Bowen leads a spring break trip to Guatemala every year. Our host for the trip is Community Cloud Forest Conservation, a group which works in high elevation villages at the edge of Guatemala’s remaining cloud forests in the Central Highlands of Alta Verapaz.

We focus on empowerment education, environmental education, and food security. We spend two nights with Q’eqchi’-speaking host families and the rest of our time at CCFC’s beautiful agroecology center, learning hands-on with the students.
