Kate Haffey

Kate Haffey’s research focuses on the intersection between sexuality and time in twentieth-century British literature. She is particularly interested in the ways in which modernist ideas about time explored in writers like Virginia Woolf and T.S. Eliot reappear in the work of late twentieth-century novelists. Dr. Haffey regularly teaches Modern British Fiction, Contemporary British Fiction, Queer Literature, Methods of Advanced Literary Studies, and senior seminars on Virginia Woolf and the Bloomsbury Group. Other teaching and research interests include feminist theory, queer theory, postmodern fiction, and the literature of the AIDS epidemic.
