The Environmental Science-Social Sciences major focuses on economic, political, and sociological interactions of humans and the natural world. Our department believes that to address environmental challenges, one must have an understanding of the science underlying them. To this end, the Social Sciences major begins with a firm foundation in chemistry, biology, and geology. With help from a faculty advisor, each student then selects from a broad array of environmental science, geography, political science, economics, and sociology courses to create a major that reflects his or her interests and goals.
Please consult the current Academic Catalog or any department faculty member for more details and for course requirements for the major.
