Position Summary: Under direct supervision, perform spatial and tabular data edits to create, update and maintain the Service Authority’s horizontal and vertical asset registries, and digital records.  Perform spatial analysis. Produce custom map products and other spatial visualizations and reports.

 Position Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions: 

  • Demonstrate knowledge of following: ESRI Software Suite, ArcGIS Desktop Interface, Enterprise SDE versioning workflows, editing spatial and tabular data, querying geospatial and tabular data within ArcMap, GIS tools (i.e. custom Python tools, Data Reviewer), and tables/joins functionality to adhere to business processes and database standards.
  • Perform spatial and tabular edits in ArcMap and ArcPro.
  • Create map products, and other spatial visualizations and reports that align with the SA’s templates and workflows.
  • Collect and process data from GPS, Pictures, Imagery, etc; and troubleshoot and maintain hardware (i.e. plotters, scanners, GPS equipment).
  • File, scan and maintain maps and engineering records/plans.
  • Make copies of plans using large format scanners and plotters.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to read and understand established PWCSA procedures, processes and protocols.
  • Ability to clearly convey technical information verbally and in writing.
  • Possess analytical skills including:
    1. Think critically: compare, count, correlate, evaluate, benchmark, audit, classify, calculate, dissect and reason;
    2. Analyze data: conduct fundamental and statistical analysis and spot trends in data; and
    3. Research: mine data, prioritize, take inventory and check for accuracy.
  • Possess general keyboarding skills and be able to comfortably work with technology and computers (such as Microsoft Office Suite etc.).
  • Junior or higher level education at or graduate from an accredited university.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
