#MaryWashDay Is Back March 25-26, 2026
Mary Wash Giving Day (#MaryWashDay) is a 24-hour online day of giving to the University of Mary Washington. Back for its fourth year, it will take place Wednesday, March 25 12:00pm – Thursday, March 26 12:00pm, 2026. Mark your calendar and bookmark givingday.umw.edu to be part of the excitement!
We have set an ambitious goal for our annual #MaryWashDay: $5,026 and 26 gifts in one day to honor UMW’s Economics department. Together, we can make it the single largest day of fundraising in the University’s history, all to benefit Mary Washington students and programs.
Make your gift early to the economics department to have your gift doubled! On March 25-26, 2026, click on the “Area of Support” drop down and select “College of Business”. Then click on “Fund Designation” where you will be able to select Economics Department as your gift designation from a drop-down menu.

- On March 25-26, 2026, scroll down to “Participating Groups” and select “College of Business” where you will be able to select UMW Economics Department as your gift designation from a drop-down menu on the donation form.
#MaryWashDay 2025 Results!
Thanks to your generosity, the Economics Department raised $2,060.00 from donors on #MarywashDay. Your gifts support student research, conference travel, and hands-on learning opportunities.
Across UMW 3,063 gifts were made, totaling $1,256,249. Thank you for helping our students thrive.
#MaryWashDay 2024 Results!
We would like to thank ALL of the donors and ambassadors who made #MaryWashDay a great success!
Our Economics Department received a total of $2,675.08! In addition, the department received $10,000 for an endowed scholarship in honor of Professor Rycroft, donated by benefactor Colin Jennings.
Overall, UMW had 2,505 gifts for a total of $621,528.
Thank you for your continued support the UMW Economics Department can help fund trips to Undergraduate Conferences and other formative educational experiences for their dedicated students!
