On Saturday, September 7, please join The Historic Fredericksburg Foundation, Inc. in downtown Fredericksburg for their second annual Vintage Route 1 event! Visitors will get to follow Route 1 downtown and learn about how the "highway" changed Fredericksburg forever.Take a tour of Lafayette Boulevard or Princess Anne Street and learn the history of the Original Route 1 that came right through downtown Fredericksburg. Riverfront Park will have restored classic cars on display from the Historic Fredericksburg Region AACA. There will be a plethora of children's activities, including the HFFI Jr. Archaeology Lab where kids can learn how to clean and tag real artifacts!
