Student Awards

The Chemistry Department bestows annual awards on outstanding students.  Departmental awards for outstanding academic performance in specific disciplines are granted under the auspices of the American Chemical Society (ACS).  These include awards for analytical, inorganic, and organic chemistry, as well as an award of excellence for an outstanding graduating senior.  The Department also grants two awards, one for chemistry and the other for biochemistry, under the auspices of the American Institute of Chemists.  Additionally, students with outstanding performance in general chemistry are honored with inclusion in our annual general chemistry honor roll.
