Scholarships
Each year, the Chemistry Department awards several scholarships, which are managed by the Office of Financial Aid. The department is responsible for scholarship recipient selection on the basis of academic excellence and, for some scholarships, demonstrated need. These include the Jacquline C. Kane Scholarship in Chemistry, Roy Seldon Cook Scholarship, the John Cope ’83 Memorial Scholarship, the Judith A. Crissman Scholarship, the Peggy Ellis Gill ’53 Scholarship, and the Paula O’Gorman Rimnac ’47 Scholarship.
Jacqueline C. Kane Scholarship in Chemistry
Awarded to an outstanding chemistry major with an interest in chemical engineering.
Roy Seldon Cook Scholarship in Chemistry
Awarded to an outstanding chemistry major.

Awarded to an outstanding major in one of the physical sciences. This scholarship rotates among the science departments.

Awarded to an outstanding rising junior or senior chemistry major in memory of Dr. Crissman’s parents, Robert and Louise Crissman.

Peggy Ellis Gill ’53 Scholarship

Awarded to an outstanding major in one of the physical sciences, with preference given to female students. This award rotates among the science departments.
