Project Proposal Guidelines
The Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Department offers many opportunities for students to conduct focused research on the topics that interest them.
All WGST students are required to complete a senior project under WGST 485. For WGST 485 the student will pick a topic of WGST which interests them and research it further, with the end goal of creating a tangible final essay demonstrating what they have learned. The guidelines can be found on the WGST 485 Proposal Guidelines page, along with examples of past projects.
WGST students also have the opportunity to complete an individual study course, this course allows them to delve deeper into a topic of WGST in an area where we are unable to offer a class. This allows students to truly pursue areas which interest them, and they work closely with our faculty to help guide their learning process. The guidelines for the independent study can be found on the WGST 491 Proposal Guidelines page.
