The Women’s and Gender Studies major explores the study of human experience through constructs such as femininity and masculinity as they intersect with issues of gender, class, race, sexual orientation, etc.

The major is an interdisciplinary thirty-three (33) credit major. The nature of the program allows students to craft the major around their individually specific interests in varying fields (English, Philosophy, Sociology, History, etc.)

The interdisciplinary nature of Women’s and Gender Studies major allows students to engage themselves more holistically into two majors at the same time.
