The Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies major explores the study of human experience through constructs such as femininity and masculinity as they intersect with issues of gender, class, race, sexual orientation, etc.
WGST is an interdisciplinary major requiring thirty-three (33) credits. The structure of the program allows students to craft the major around their specific interests in varying fields (English, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, etc.). The interdisciplinary nature of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies major allows students to engage themselves more holistically into two majors at the same time. By crafting your own Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies major around other interests, it’s easy to fit both majors together along the academic path that you choose to take!
