Private Applied Study

The music department provides college-level private lessons in voice, piano, harp, organ, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, saxophone, horn, trumpet, trombone, euphonium, tuba, percussion, violin, viola, cello, guitar, and composition. Registration for private instruction is contingent upon a successful audition. Students receive 12 weekly lessons (either a half-hour or an hour) during the semester. A lesson fee applies.

For beginners, we also offer class-format instruction in piano, voice, and guitar; there are also classes (chiefly intended for Music Education students and composers, but open to all) to develop facility with woodwinds, brass, strings, or percussion instruments.
