Dr. Barrenechea Presents at Two European Conferences

This summer Professor Antonio Barrenechea presented “El Vampiro y el Sexo: Hispanic Vampires from George Melford to Jess Franco” at the annual meeting of the Grupo de Estudios sobre lo Fantástico in Barcelona, Spain.  He also presented “Undead Variants: Mexploitation’s Recycling of Hollywood Vampires” at the annual meeting of the American Comparative Literature Association in Utrecht, Netherlands.

Comm Students Publish Paper

Alexander Clegg and John Guidon, under the direction of Professor Elizabeth Johnson-Young, had their paper “Religion in the Media: A Study of Student Perception of Media Bias in Georgia” published in _Metamorphosis_, the undergraduate research journal of the Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges.  Congratulations on this great work!

Rafferty Places Essay on Buchanan

Professor Antonio Barrenechea recently delivered the lecture “’69 Année Érotique’: Swinging Mademoiselles, Cinema, Sexploitation” as part of the spring lecture series at the Institut Américain Universitaire in Aix-en-Provence, France.
