Debate Interest Meeting & Social Media Public Debate – Thursday, August 26, 2021, 7:30 pm Eastern

This event will be an introduction to the UMW Debate Team, including a short mini-debate, followed by a Q&A period for those interested in learning more about the Debate Team.

The debate topic will be:
Resolved: Social media is necessary for democracy.

 

 

Fake News Public Debate – Tuesday, April 6, 2021

UMW Debate is excited to begin a new series of debates featuring current students and alums debating together. In the first debate of our UMW Debate Alumni Debate Series, debaters from multiple generations will take on the problem of Fake News.
