UMW Debate hosts two intercollegiate tournaments each season:

The UMW Debate Tournament in October    

 

2023 Dates: Friday, October 13 – Sunday, October 15.

District VII Debate Tournament Entry Fee Payment (October tournament)

Procedures vary depending on type of payment or need for invoice – please read all of the options below before selecting one.

  • To pay via credit card or echeck, please use this link [COMING SOON].  Entry fees are $75 per person – including debaters, judges, and observers.
    • ACH (echeck payments) transaction fees:
      • .50 cents per transaction
    • Credit card transaction fees:
      • 2.75 % for transactions under $20.00 and over $110.00
      • Flat Fee of $3.00 for transaction over $20.00 and under $110.00
  • If you require an invoice prior to payment, the procedure is slightly different.
    • If you require an invoice for echeck, paper check or credit card payment methods, please submit a request via this link [COMING SOON].
    • Please be prepared to enter your total entry fees for the request. The entry fee is $75 per person (debaters, judges, observers) attending.  The invoice will be emailed to the billing contact specified on the form and will be due dated 15 days from process date as indicated on the invoice.
  • Submit W-9 requests to dbayer@umw.edu and include the vendor name, vendor email, address and purpose.  The form will be completed and sent to the requestor via email.

The National Debate Tournament District VII Qualifier in February

2024 Dates: Friday, February 16 – Sunday, February 18

(In-person, competition will be Sat-Sun)
