The University of Mary Washington Center of Economic Education partakes in the Stock Market Game (SMG) through the Virginia Counsel of Economic Education. The Stock Market Game is a game that teaches younger students (grades 4-12) how to save/invest using stocks/bonds. During the game students compete by investing $100,000 in an online portfolio. The Stock Market Game also helps introduce students to the world of economics. Congratulations to all the Fall 2022 Stock Market Game UMW region winners! The regional high schools top 3 rankings were swept by Culpeper County High School, all advised by Mrs. Tewari. A special congratulations to the team members of VA_18_zz456, who came in first place and ended the game with a total equity of $104,430.59. Team VA_18_zz508 and team VA_18_zz457 placed 2nd and 3rd respectively.
