Dr. Margaret Ray is the Professor of Economics and Chair of the Economics Department at the University of Mary Washington, and the Director of the UMW Center for Economic Education. She was previously an Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. In addition, she is certified to teach K-12 Social Studies and has a Masters of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She won the Excellence in Economic Education national award for the teaching of economics for her work on the principles of economics course. She lives on a horse farm in Spotsylvania, Virginia with her two daughters. She has been involved with K-12, AP, and college level economics for over 20 years.
