Sean Collins is an exercise physiologist and sports scientist who investigates athlete workload tracking, environmental impacts on human performance, and sports nutrition. He earned his PhD and MS in Exercise Physiology from Springfield College, following a BS in Exercise Science from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. With over a decade of higher education teaching experience, Dr. Collins instructs coursework spanning research methods, scientific principles of strength and conditioning, and advanced exercise physiology. In addition to publishing extensive peer-reviewed literature, he has held multiple leadership roles within the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), NSCA Foundation and the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). Dr. Collins is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with Distinction (CSCS*D). Across his academic career, he regularly mentors student-led research initiatives.
