Dr. Zach Whalen recently presented a professional paper, “A Counterfactual Historiography of Three Game Platforms,” at the Conference of the 
Society for Literature, Science, and the Arts) in Milwaukee, WI. The presentation revised the common understanding of game console generations by discussing three less well-known consoles — Channel F, Vectrex and Virtual Boy — and exploring the implications of an alternate history for video game devices.
