Mini-Economy: Creating a Memorable Classroom Experience

Happy Thursday Everyone!
The Center for Economic Education at George Mason University and University of Mary Washington are introducing a program called “Mini-Economy: Creating A Memorable Classroom Experience” This event will be held on the University of Mary Washington Stafford Campus. Registration is free of charge and this event is open to all 3rd through middle school educators.

Program Overview:
The Mini-Economy is an experience-based program used to teach entrepreneurship, economics and government. Students immerse themselves in a classroom economy: applying for jobs, running businesses, paying taxes, making investments. Your students will master essential economic principles while getting cross-curricular exposure to math, reading and writing. On top of invaluable teamwork and negotiation skills, students learn their role in the global marketplace.
