Austin Lynn is a plant ecologist with a particular focus on the fields of plant-pollinator interactions and wetland ecology. Dr. Lynn earned his PhD from the University of Missouri in Columbia and subsequently conducted postdoctoral research at Louisiana State University and Cornell University. Previous work has dealt with the ecology and evolution of pollination in native and non-native Taraxacum (dandelions), and the stressors involved in wetland plant dieback in the Mississippi River Delta. Dr. Lynn plans to explore the ecology of wetland plants along the waterways in and around Virginia with a particular focus on the widespread non-native plant Phragmites australis.
