Theresa Grana, Assistant Professor of Biology, joined the UMW Biological Sciences Department in 2008. She earned her Ph.D. at the University of North Carolina for her studies of oncogenes in cellular responses to ionizing radiation. As a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Wisconsin, Dr. Grana examined the roles of cell adhesion in cell migration events in development. Her current research interests include nematode diversity, SEA-GENES, and including undergraduates in authentic research experiences.
