RN-BSN
The BSN Completion Program (BSN-C) is designed for a licensed RN who holds an associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited university/college or diploma nursing program. The student can attend full-time or part-time. The program prepares the nurse to identify and improve patient care within a complex healthcare system, to assume more vital roles within the medical profession, and to continue their nursing education to the graduate level.
Read below for more details about the program. We also offer this Printable Flyer.
The curriculum combines UMW’s tradition of liberal arts with the AACN’s Essentials of Baccalaureate Education for Professional Nursing Practice* standards. Students take three higher-level liberal arts courses and seven higher-level nursing courses and receive valuable mentorship from UMW faculty and nursing leaders in the Fredericksburg community.
Students have the option to enroll in face-to-face coursework as available, or the students may enroll in approved online courses to meet the BSN degree requirements.
