Job Title: Attorney / Judicial Law Clerk
After graduating from UMW with a major in psychology, I went to law school at the University of Minnesota, and graduated in 2017. I am currently clerking for the Minnesota Court of Appeals. A judicial clerkship for law graduates is somewhat like doing a year in residency. It is generally a one or two year position (mine is one), and you work hand-in-hand with a specific judge to help decide cases. My day to day activities include researching and writing recommendations for cases on appeal, and drafting legal opinions explaining the outcome. Following my clerkship I will be moving to the private sector.
