Internships at the National Museum of the Marine Corps

The National Museum of the Marine Corps needs a few good interns.  Undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to apply beginning December 1, 2013, and before 12:00 PM on Friday, March 28, 2014.  The majority of selections will be made and announced around April 11, 2014.  A few interns may be granted approval to start in January 2013, depending on the needs of the Museum and the student’s academic requirements.  Please E-mail your typed application form, current resume, and at least two letters of reference to christina.johnson@usmc.mil.  Incomplete packages will not be considered.  Scanned PDF files with signatures preferred.  The best references include contact information and address academic achievement, research and writing skills, dependability, creativity, maturity, and initiative.

You can earn money, skills, and resume bullets while learning something new.  Some colleges will apply course credit toward specific projects – check with your professor.

We can accommodate flexible schedules.  Several interns work during the summer, others work during the Spring and Fall semesters.  The stipend is $9.00 per hour.  You will be responsible for your own housing and transportation.  We are funded for 17 internships, each with an average duration of 324 hours.  Some interns will work fewer hours, others will work more hours.  We also support some non-paid internships.
