Food Studies Minor<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Food Studies is an interdisciplinary minor that provides insight into the relationships between food and all aspects of the human experience. The program offers a wide variety of courses, including classes from the business, natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities. This minor complements all majors offered at the university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minor Requirements<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Eighteen (18) credit hours from the following list of courses, one of which must be AMST 204 American Foodways, which is offered annually, and IDIS 480, Food Studies Capstone, a 3-credit, independent study under the guidance of a faculty member and approved by the program coordinator. Other courses with relevant content may be substituted with approval of the program coordinator. No more than three (3) courses from a single discipline may be applied toward satisfying the minor. At least three (3) courses must be at the 300\/400 level, and no more than two (2) courses in the minor may overlap with any other major or minor. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
