Historic Preservation Department Sweatshirts Now Available

This semester the Historic Preservation Club is selling department sweatshirts. The price of the shirts are $15 and are due on November 11 in the Preservation Club's mailbox in the department. Please remember to specify your name and size (S,M,L,XL)  with your payment. The club will only be accepting cash or checks written out to the University of Mary Washington Historic Preservation Club. Alumni can order sweatshirts, however you must be able( or know someone who will) drop money off in the club mail and pick up your sweatshirt. The Central Rappahannock Heritage Center and HFFI Are Releasing a New Book

This Sunday, October 27, the Central Rappahannock Heritage Center and the Historic Fredericksburg Foundation will be releasing their book "The Circle Unbroken: Civil War Letters of the Knox Family of Fredericksburg." This book is a collection of letters of the Knox family who lived in the house that is now the Kenmore Inn during the Civil War. These letters are a great sources from the Civil War and show the great struggle of living in Fredericksburg during the war. On Sunday from 3 to 5 pm, there will be a free book release event at the Kenmore Inn. Guests will be able to enjoy self guided tours of the inn, wine & hors d’oeuvres catered by the Kenmore Inn and a chance to be the first to purchase the book. RSVPs for this event are suggested.
