2011 Historic Preservation Book Prize Winner Lois Olcott Price Combs 004, 5:00-6:00pm October 12, 2011 Refreshments served at 4:30 pm outside of Combs 25   Please come and help us welcome the 2011 Historic Preservation book prize winner Lois Olcott Price! There will be a social at 4:30 and then she will be speaking on her book Line, Shade and Shadow:the fabrication and preservation of architectural drawings. Lois is currently the Director of Conservation and Senior conservator of library collections at the Winterthur Museum in Winterthur, DE. She has a Master of Art degree in American Material Culture from the University of Delaware. Her interest in preservation started in 1991 with American architectural drawings. Guest Speaker: Dr. Heather Huyck

Please join us on Wednesday October 5 at 7 pm in Lee Hall 412 to hear Dr. Heather Huyck speak on "Revealing Women: Using Tangible Resources to Preserve, Research and Interpret American Women." Dr. Huyck has been a public historian since 1971 and has many specialties, one of them being Women's history. She is currently a visiting associate professor at the College of William & Mary.
