She approaches form as generative of meaning through shape, structure, and process, and through visual, aural, and tactile particularity. Her work is informed by the intersections of poetic and scientific inquiry, and especially by the poetic possibilities suggested in the mechanisms of transcription and reproduction in molecular biology and genetics. She is deeply interested in etymology as a formal excavation of language, and in tracing a lineage of experimentation with inscription, materiality, and form.
