Thirty-six credits in English and linguistics courses as follows: LING 101B; ENGL 295; six 300-level literature courses (including two courses in pre-1900 literature, at least one of which must be in pre-1800 literature; one course in post-1900 literature; and one course in literature of the historically marginalized groups); one 300-level linguistics course; one 300-level writing course; one 400-level seminar in literature, composition, or theory; and three additional credits from the following: ENGL 200 or any 300- and 400- level English and linguistics courses, including department-sponsored internships and individual studies.
