Minoring in Economics

Economics Minor

The minor in Economics allows students to sample what economics has to offer. Students will learn basic theoretical framework that economists use to view the world and how economists do research using statistical analysis. Students also have the opportunity to take 3 courses in the fields of economics that most interest them.

Requirements for the Economics Minor

Twenty one (21) credits to include:

ECON 201- Principles of Macroeconomics
ECON 202- Principles of Microeconomics

One intermediate course in economic theory:
either ECON 303- Microeconomics or ECON 304- Macroeconomics

One course in quantitative economics:
either ECON 300- Intro to Economic Analysis or ECON 361- Introductory Econometrics

Nine (9) additional credits in upper level economics courses (i.e. courses at the 300 or 400-level).
