massage therapist, martial arts
instructor, and UMW alum)

In recognition of the UN International Day of Peace and
the Gardens for Peace Initiative. Kiyoshi Yamamoto will
discuss the story of Sadako Sasaki, who lived through
the Hiroshima bombing to die of radiation poisoning in
1955 at the age of 12, and how her story inspired the
peace symbolism of the origami crane.
Fold your own origami crane(s) with Kiyoshi’s
instruction.
Origami paper will be provided.
