Join us for a special reception at the UMW Zen Garden featuring its designers, Todd Stewart and Bob Chilton of Gardens Unlimited.

Light refreshments will be served in the Zen Garden next to James Farmer Hall at 5 pm (weather permitting), followed by a brief program in James Farmer Hall, Room 107B, at 6 pm.

Todd Stewart and Bob Chilton will share insights into the garden’s design, philosophy, and history. Dr. Suzie Kim will also speak about the life and legacy of Kurt F. Leidecker (1902–1991), Professor of Philosophy at Mary Washington College from 1948 until his retirement in 1973, and introduce the mission and future initiatives of the Leidecker Center for Asian Studies.
