Khatib Scholar Lecture: “Jesus and Muhammad…” OCT 15 5 PM LEE HALL 411

The Khatib Program in Religion and Dialogue is pleased to announce that Dr. Jordan Denari Duffner will deliver the Khatib Scholar Lecture, entitled “Jesus and Muhammad, The Bible and the Qur’an: Studying Christianity and Islam Side-by-Side,” on Wednesday, October 15th at 5 p.m., in Lee Hall 411. Please join us and encourage your students to attend.

Dr. Duffner serves as our Khatib Scholar this semester, teaching a course on what reading the two texts and considering the Christian and Muslim understandings of Jesus and Muhammad can tell us about Christianity and Islam. Endowed by Dr. Reza Khatib and Mrs. Georgianna Clifford Khatib, the Khatib Program seeks to foster conversation among religious traditions with the goal of understanding and peaceful discussion.
