Undergraduate Research Presentation Awards

The the 2014 Undergraduate Research Forum on Women’s Studies was held on March 12, 2014. The presentations listed below won top awards:

 

Best Poster:  Hester Godfrey, Leanna Papp, and Lauren Waaland-Kreutzer, “The Dark Side of Romance; Romantic Beliefs Predict Intimate Partner Violence,”

Professors Liss and Erchull, PSYC 491/492: Individual Study in Psychology

Best Presentation:  Chelsea Wagenaar, “Female Bodies as Vulnerable Bodies: The Social and Political Life of the Uterus,”

Professor Citeroni, SOCG400, Sociology of the Body, and Professor Gable, ANTH316, Political Anthropology

This year’s Undergraduate Research Forum on Women’s Studies featured two poster presentations AND nine presentations of original research undertaken by our undergraduates across nine different disciplines.  Thank you to Professors Roberta Gardner and Laura Mentore who served as this year’s Forum discussants.  Thank you, students, for your outstanding presentations.  And, thank you to the faculty sponsors of these research projects; your students all did a great job!
