Dr. Krystyn Moon Presents at the Social Research Colloquium

photoDr. Krystyn Moon shared her latest research today in a presentation entitled “The Immigration Bureau and the Origins of International Education, 1880s-1930s.” Speaking before a full audience at UMW’s Social Research Colloquium, she spoke on issues of late nineteenth and early twentieth immigration, ethnicity, and education.

Dr. Moon is currently associate professor and director of the program of American Studies at the University of Mary Washington. She is author of the book Yellowface: Creating the Chinese in American Popular Music and Performance, 1850s-1920s.
