Luke Johnson is the author of the poetry collection After the Ark (New York Quarterly Books, 2011). His poems have appeared in New England Review, The Southern Review, The Threepenny Review, and elsewhere. His essays have appeared online in the Los Angeles Review of Books and the Wall Street Journal.
He holds a B.A. from Elon University and an M.F.A from Hollins University, where he was a teaching fellow. He’s received awards for his writing from the Academy of American Poets, the Atlantic Monthly, the Virginia Museum of Fine Art, and has received grants and scholarships from Artist Trust of Washington state, the City of Seattle Office of Arts & Culture, and the Sewanee Writers’ Conference.
