Book-in-Common Program

The Mary Washington Book-in-Common Program offers students in selected literature and creative writing courses the opportunity to share the study of a book—and the chance to have the author visit the classes and give a public reading of his or her work.

Laurie Mansell-Reich (Class of 1979)and her husband Henry Reich gave a generous gift toward a creative writing endowment for program support, to be handled through the Arrington Distinguished Chair in Poetry. These funds will initially be used to help fund book purchases and author visits for the Book-in-Common Program.
