Chemical Analysis

Analytical chemistry is a course that covers the theory and techniques of analysis including introductory instrumental methods. The course seeks to answer the following questions: What is in the sample? How much is there? To view a syllabus, click the links below.

NOTE – EFFECTIVE FALL 2008 – CHEM 252 will no longer be offered in the chemistry department. Alternatively, Chemical Analysis I and II (CHEM 253 and 254) will be offered.

Chemical Analysis I

Introduction to principles of chemical analysis, statistical treatment of measurements, volumetric and gravimetric analyses, and electrochemical analysis.
